Nowadays, the quality of life in megacities around the world is going to be decreased under the standard level. Although there will be several reasons for worsening the quality of life, there are some measures that government can take to tackle the problem.
The predominent factor resulting in lower life quality is that many people who are living in countryside and suffer from inappropriate facilities, have decided to immigrate to megacities in search of access to suitable amenities. As a result, according to increasing population, urban authorities are forced to sprawl urban territories into green lands. So, in the modern era, cities are called as concrete jungles. Another cause of decreasing urban quality of life is that the utilitization of fossil fules have been increased enormously as a consequence of industrialization. For example, many cars are fueled by gas which is harmful for the environment. Consequently, rising air pollution in cities affect life quality.
Nevertheless , there are potential ways to solve these problems, or at least to reduce the effect. First, goverments can invest money in suburbs to reduce the rate of migrations to megacities. For instance, by creating high quality healthcare facilities, people in suburbs can easily get accesss to their living needs. So, governments can control the urban lands. Another possible solution would be imposing green taxes for car factories. By doing this, these factories encourage to manufacture vehicles which are fueld by electricity. As a result, the possibilry of the creation urban heat islands will drop and air contaminats will be reduce.
Although declining the quality of life in megacities is a serious issue, there are steps that government can take to reduce its negative results. For instance they can introduce green taxes which aimed at decreasing the use of fossil fuels.
