It is argued that, in many countries, people from big cities face with declining of quality of life. There are various reasons which cause this trend, such as issues related to ecology or problems cuased by overpopulation in cities. However, there are different ways to deal with the general tendency to poor quality of living in large settlements.
To begin, one of the most important parameters which influence how people feel about their cities is ecology. In contemporary world, the number of factories, heat stations, and organisations dealing with mining industries is increasing from day to day, especially in large cities, which dramatically impacts on the state of atmosphere and reservoirs. Furthermore, the general state of health of residents is determined by the quality of air and water because their poor quality can provide different diseases, sush problems with the breathing system or stomach. Recent research performed by specialists from the Harvard Univercity have shown that, by 2025, more than 30% of young people under 35 have suffered from various diseases caused by ecological issues, which has doubled in comparison to the previous decade.
However, there are several ways to deal with these problems. First of all, it is essential to modernize techiques of constructions of industrial buildings taking into account possible consequences for ecology. For example, in many Siberain cities, there are plenty of old-fashioned factories without any special equipment to decrease detrimental pollution that endanger ecology and local residents. Besides, it is crucial to improve awareness of problems related to the environment among society. For instance, there are many school which have already introduced to their syllabus special subjects devoted to ecology.
In conclusion, residents of modern cities every day face with the variety of problems, and environment is one of the key issues. Therefore, it is rather substantial to make effort to solve these problems and correct situation in large cities.
