In many countries today, especially the third-world countries, work opportunities are limited. With more influx of people in the job market, work is becoming increasingly deficient. While there are advantages to people moving to other countries for work, my personal opinion is that the disadvantages are far more than the advantages.
On the one hand, moving to a different country brings more career opportunities and better salaries in some cases. The case for some jobs is that they are widely sought after in some countries but have no demand in others. For instance, a petroleum engineer will not have much opportunities in Ireland and would benefit more from transferring to a country like Saudi Arabia where there is abundant oil.
On the other hand, having to move to a different country just for the sake of work might be troubling for some people, especially if they do not have any family or friends in the country they are moving to. It is not an easy task to live far away from your family in a different culture and sometimes even a place with a different language. It can lead to loneliness which is a serious mental health issue. Another problem associated with living in a different country that must be brought to attention is the discrimination. For example, if a person moves from an Asian country to a European country it is inevitable that they will face some form of discrimination and might even be denied job opportunities solely based on their race.
In conclusion, while moving to a different country gives better career opportunities in some cases, moving away from your family and having to live in a different culture is a daunting task and not worth the advantages it may bring.
