I truly believe that it can function effectively because of two distinct aspects like preservation of local knowledge and maintaining sense of belonging. Cultural dress can effectively create a tight linkage with the past in two distinct ways. To start with, people maintain their cultural heritage by remaking their past through the production of traditional attires. In doing so, a new generation creatively use local knowledge wherein they are able to preserve what their ancestors have inherited.
