Band 6+: In many countries, young people are moving from the countryside to cities for work or study. do the benefits of this shift outweigh its drawbacks

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, younger generations are migrating from rural areas to urban centres for employment and educational opportunities .In this essay, I will provide both benefits and drawbacks of this trend.

To begin with,There are several reasons why moving to the cities is good for the youth .The main reason is that the young people can earn higher salaries .When they move to the developing cities they can have the chance to work in large companies that provide better salaries than the ones in rural areas. As a result, the youth can save enough money to take care of themselves and their families .Moreover, young people can access to quality educational and employments which can enhance their personal skills .For example ,in the urban centers ,the youth can have the opportunity to work in an international working environment with foreigners and as the result they can improve their communication and language skills .

On the other hand, leaving from rural areas to the modern ones can make some disadvantages. Firstly, this phenomenon cause overcrowing housing and transport. As a result, It can increase the rate of accidents in the cities or the shortage of accommodation which can cause the cost of housing rise significantly. Finally, the rural area can lose the young working. Therefore, the economic development in the rural area can face the risks of falling due to the migration of young labour.

In conclusion, although migrating to the cities help young generations gain good opportunities in educational and employment, it also has disadvantages in economic decline and shortage of young labour. In my opinion, its benefits can surpass its drawbacks due to the higher opportunities in earning better salaries
