In many parts of the world, primary and secondary schools are closed for two months or more for summer vacations. There are some benefits like spending time with their friends and family members and improving a number of skills. However, some advocates of short holidays believe they can increase concentration and decrease perants concerns.
Having long holidays can lead to students spending time with each other and having fun, which can lead to making the use of their leisure time. What differentiates them from the rest is that they have a good chance to connect with extended family. Furthermore, students can improve their skills, for example, taking new courses about computers and foreign languages. It can help them more and better job opportunities in the future.
However, some in favour of short holidays believe that students during long summers would lose some of academic knowledge and skills, which can lead to distraction and they become academically lazy and lethargic. When they have short vacations, they can focus on their studies easily. Moreover, short holidays would reduce stress their parents. In fact, they have to manage this period. Not only are they incurring many expenses but also they have many burdens.
In conclusion, I believe that short vacations can increase concentration span and reduce the burden of parental responsibility.
