Nowadays, teenagers are investing most of their quality time with friends rather than families. This change has taken place due to the generation gap between parents and their children and also parents should not pressure them to be more at home because this will make them feel being more restricted.
Firstly, the occurrence of this change is due to the difference in their generation. Teenagers mostly spend their valuable time with them who matches their vibes, thinking and the people similar to them which we cannot expect form our parents. Parents are mostly traditional thinkers but friends are of modern era to which teenagers are able to find same matching and prefers to spend more time with them. For instance, parents belief in superstitious whereas friends are modern like them and doesn’t belief in this things. Thus, young people tend to spend more time with Friends.
On the other hand, parents are forcing their child to be in home most of the period but this may lead teenagers feel being restricted and will behave accordingly. This may develop bad relationship between parents and Children. Their bond may fumble. Moreover they won’t be happy being with them although how many hours or days they spend with father and mother. So it is said that quality often matters instead of quantity.
To conclude, difference in age gap has changed young people to spend more time with friends than families and parents also should not force their children to be in home as they may feel being restricted.
