Band 5+: In modern times, young adults are spending less time with their families and more time with their friends. Why has this change occurred? Do you think parents should force their children to spend more time at home?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, Children spend few time with their families while give better time to friends. This change has occurred because of social media & lack of connection with Parents. I think parents should guide them with affection rather than forcing them to spend more time at home.

In modern days, some social medias like facebook, instagram, twitter etc. are very popular all over the world. Most people specially children tend to use these platforms more. They get new friends through these medias and love to hangout with them. Although they can connect with them only online, they prefer to hangout outside to explore new places, spend time at restaurant as it has become a trend. I think Parents should give more valuable time by traveling or doing household chores with their children instead of leaving them alone with technology.

On the other hand, parents are also busy with their career & other stuff that they do not have enough time to spend quality time with their children. In the meanwhile, children get bored and lonely so they try to spend more time outside with friends. They stay with friends more time to not only avoiding loneliness but also having fun time. For instance, it has been seen that most young people spend almost whole day with friends at out & get back to house at late night in our country. I think parents should save more time for their children & teach them the necessity of bonding with family.

In conclude, Children prefer giving more time to friends because of social network & loneliness at home. So, partents need to spare a quality time & make strong bonding with children to overcome this situation.
