Many companies refuse job applicants because of their age, which is prohibited in several countries. While I can see some negative aspects, I firmly believe that banning people’s age is much more positive.
It is true that many workers can guarantee their rights to create fair employment opportunities for people of all ages. This arises today, because of the increase in workers, the job market has become more vibrant than ever, resulting in competition among many workers is increasing fierce. As a result, many individuals, especially older workers, are facing challenges in securing jobs. Without regulations to prevent age discrimination, they may be unfairly overlooked despite their experience and skills. Therefore, rejecting job applicants based on age can allow people to contribute to the workforce regardless of age.
Another positive aspect comes from rejecting aged applicants, encouraging many young workers to concentrate on their studies before fully entering the workforce. While there is no law prohibiting working age, society will value ability and experience more than age, leading many young people to tend to give up their studies to work rather than continue to study. This legal protection allows them to take the time to build their foundation and gain many skills to contribute to their future jobs. In doing so, they are better equipped to pursue careers that align with their passions and long-term goals.
In conclusion, laws that prevent companies from discriminating based on age are a positive development as they guarantee employment opportunities for people of all ages and also ensure young workers can continue their studies before attending the workforce.
