In modern life, many individuals are becoming more interested in having their own residence instead of renting one. The following paragraph will shed some light on the main reason for this trend, and why I completely believe that this is a positive development.
To begin with, one of the primary reasons of this phenomenon is that, for many people, owning an independent house is a social status. To illustrate, numerous individuals from different parts of the world perceive having their own building as a sign of wealth and respect. Many families in Jordan, for example, live in their residential complex and refuse to rent an apartment, even though, it would be financially challenging to build or purchase a private home. Another point to add is that for some nations living in a rented residence is a kind of shame and give an image that the parents are unable to secure a safe house for their children.
However, I am strongly convinced that such a practice is a positive situation. This is because purchasing an independent house is a long term investment. To elaborate, housing is a successful investment for the future as its prices normally rise over time.
For instance, an individual with average income may buy a flat today and sell it if they encounter sharp financial issues in the future. Furthermore, a private house is considered as a safe area of children to arise and grow with privacy and security.
In conclusion, while holding a high social status is the main reason why some people are in favor of having their own residence, investing for the future and providing a safe environment for kids are the reasons why I totally believe that this is a positive trend.
