There are several reasons why currently, people tend to gain weight and face health deterioration. The first reason is that people consume a lot of fast food which is extremely convenient and time-saving for their meal. Because in the fast-paced world, they are too busy with their work and do not have enough time to prepare healthy dishes at home. Despite knowing its harmless effects, everyone still uses it more often. The second reason is laziness, as some people spend too much time lying in bed and do not take part in physical exercise. Each time they eat, calories build up in the body, so when there is little physical activity, this energy cannot be burned effectively and is stored as fat, which can lead to obesity.
Some action can be taken to tackle this problem. The first solution would be that people should try to choose processed foods that are good for their health. Nowadays, more and more restaurants focus on healthy eating, and many fast foods can still provide enough nutrients, such as cereals. In addition, small sports competitions can be organised to encourage citizens to exercise regularly for their own health. Sometimes, people can also find an exercise partner so that they can motivate each other.
In conclusion, gaining weight causes a decline in people’s health due to several negative factors. However, there are still effective measures to address this problem.
