Nowadays, some countries are noticing an increase in weight due to unhealthy habits. I strongly agree with this, as in the modern world, most people crave junk food significantly more than in the past. In addition to that, the comfort zone we live in has discouraged physical activities, leading to an increase in weight.
Firstly, processed foods, like KFC and Pizza Hut, are widely spread all over the world. Most people are refraining from cooking and ditching healthy alternatives such as plant-based diets for junk food. This concludes that the majority prefers effortless work over healthiness. These unhealthy foods are high in saturated fats, sugar, and salt, an optimal condition for obesity to occur, due to the enormous amount of calories people are consuming.
On the other hand, there has been a steady decrease in physical activities recently. In the past years, most studies have pointed out that people are more prone to diseases than ever before. Habits, such as laziness, remote working, and the decline in walking, are all key reasons for obesity, leading to detrimental effects for our health. When people avoid such healthy habits, their fitness level drops drastically, making burning calories a harder task for our body to do.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that countries are seeing a drop in our health and fitness levels. Our daily habits are the main reason for this. Things, such as high-calorie processed foods, are becoming widely accessible. Furthermore, we are avoiding simple physical activities, like going to the gym or walking. Consequently, this leads to the adverse side effects on our health.
