Listening and playing of classical music reduce among youngsters in some parts if the world. While reasons why this is the case are varied, and I believe that this age group should be encouraged to learning this genre of music.
The most obvious reason why the majority of young people do not interested in classical music is the lack of caltural illiteracy. In today’s age, most young people tend to listen modern musicians like Lil-Pump, Eminem, and Six-nine and youngesters are not aware classical artists such as Beethoven and Mozart. Of course, children are taught pieces of classical music at primary school, but it is not enough for boosting their intrests and knowledge. Difficulties on learning how to play and using musical instruments would be another reasons for decreasing adults who do not interested in classical music. This is because the instruments used this genre such as piano and violon itake many years to master and more challenging for youngesters compared to playing with guitar which use modern music.
Regardless of the above-mentioned reasons, I think that learning classical music is really beneficial for child’s cognitive development, thus, teachers should encourage them to play and perform those kinds of genres. Providing that children learn to perform classical music, it would make people of young age more artistic. Playing classical music also develop discipline and consistence. This is because instruments of classical music are difficult to learn. During the learning period, children also learn to become patient and persistent.
In conclusion, although decreasing interest of young people in classical music is for several reasons, I my opinion, learning this music genre offers many benifits including boost cognitive performance and positive personal traits.
