It is claimed that some countries have observed an upward trend in home-schooling for children. While teaching children at home may offer benefits to a certain extent, I believe that the drawbacks of this trend are much greater
On the one hand, it is undeniable that teaching children at home may have some certain benefits. To begin with, children can have freedom to study without depending on fixed schedules at school. It offers them flexibilities in subjects, places and the most vital factor, time. for instance, children can choose any time for their studying which fit their preferences. Some children are likely to learn at night since they can fully concentrate on what they study. Therefore, they are tend to be more productive that makes their study become more effective too. Additionally, parents can also create an environment which suit their children ability too. An environment that based on children’personality, preferences and also their strength can foster both their well-being as well as abilities that they are good at.
However, I still believe that studying at school provides far more significant merits than home-schooling. First and foremost, although parent can create a suitable environment for their child, they are unable to create a standard education program as schools. Therefore they can not provide children higher-academic knowledge that prepare for their future study. For instance, it is impossible for parent to offer university program for their child since it requires a wide range of theoretical knowledge as well as practical learning. Furthermore, home-schooling children are likely to be lack of soft skills since they have no chance to get in touch with others. At school, children have opportunities to add friends, communicate, play with them which can enhance their communication skills. Moreover, some of activities such as debating at class can also help children to form their own opinion as well as fully develop their mindset.
In conclusion, although home-schooling may offers benefits to children to a certain extent, I still firmly believe that the advantages learning at school bring are much more significant
