Band 5+: In some societies, stress is now regarded as a major problem, and it is thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. However, others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated. They say that previous generations were under more pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is a well-heard term in the present society that people have stress nowadays even at a quite younger age. But it is also considered that the people in this generation suffer from an increased level of stress than the past generation. As a larger fraction of this world is well advanced in technology, the people’s interaction with the technology has increased drastically than the physical interaction with the people around. Thus the people don’t feel in sharing their everyday happenings and the problems they encounter to their closer ones. But instead they feel distracted and quite happy if they try diverting themselves from their daily life obstacles by indulging in the technological world. Whereas due to the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence, the technology learns the man’s state of mind at that present and it also starts giving results that will in turn take the man’s mind to dwell in the problem again. It could be this reason, that the people in this generation feel more stressed.

But the people in the old generation lacked advancements in healthcare, technology, and financial stability yet managed to be less stressful than the present age people. It was mainly because those people had strong physical connections with their family and close ones. So they were able to lift their mood up from any pressure and succeed through all their hardships.

In my opinion, as there is more technological advancements, although the people feel less connected with their close ones, they should repair their lost bond and develop strong connections with the physical people around which can drastically increase their happy hormones and take them come out of their stress levels.
