In the future, all types of vehicles like cars, buses and trucks will be without drivers and will move automatically. Some people believe this change will be positive, while others think it may create problems. In my opinion, there are both advantages and disadvantages, but the bad effects are a bit more serious.
One of the main advantages of driverless transport is that it can make travelling safer. Most accidents today happen because of human mistakes, like drunk driving or tiredness. If vehicles are controlled by computer systems, these errors can be avoided and roads can be more safe. Also, it can save people’s time. For example, people can read, work, or even sleep during the journey because they do not need to drive themselves.
However, there are some strong disadvantages too. Firstly, driverless vehicles may cause many people to lose their jobs. For instance, bus drivers and truck drivers will become unnecessary, and this will increase unemployment. Secondly, technology can sometimes fail. If the system in a driverless car stops working, it may cause serious accidents. Another problem is that people may depend too much on machines and forget how to drive.
In conclusion, while automatic vehicles can bring some comfort and safety, I believe the disadvantages, especially job loss and technical failures, make them more harmful overall.
