These days, many work forces lack communication and co-operative skills. This mostly stems from modernization and has several influences on different aspects of life.
The driving force behind this trend is diverse. One primary cause is the fact that development of technology has led to isolating and social-anxiety. Now a days, people tend spend time on the phone chatting with others instead of going out and trying to socialize. Take video games, for example, the new generation has been introduced to smartphones from an early age. So instead of playing in play grounds and making new friends they stay at home and use their phones. Another factor worth mentioning, is how the educational system teach kids individuality instead of team work. in many schools teachers encourage kids to become the best student in the class, which has led to competition among pupils. Thus, sociaty has been moving towards individuality which is effecting peoples’ social skills.
This issue effects not only individuals but also the whole working system in many aspects. From the personal aspect, lacking comminucational and co-operative skills brings anxiety and discomfort for the person the ones in contact with them since they will strugle to maintain a healthy relationship in work environment. Moreover, not being able to work as a team might lead to unsuccessful outcomes in different projects. For instance, in some companies it is a necessity for employees to have meetings and discuss the progress of their project, in this cases a poor conversation could have disasturous results. Furthermore, providing courses related to these topics could prevent further disagreements and problems.
To conclude, modern life has changed many aspects of our lives including the way we communicate with others and our ability to work together and this has caused multiple set backs in recent years, so it is a necessity for sociaty to manage this trend in an efficient way.
