Before only a handful of people were able serve their employment’s duties while staying home. Now the option is open wide and i am gonna try to explore both the advantages and the downsides of it.
To begin with, a couple of things I, personally, find profitable. First and far the most important here i would call the oppotunity to decline distraction made by one’s collegues, whose need to share what have been hanging over them lately, ergo increase the productivity. Certainly less, but also is a notable aspect to the problem is that in overpopulated cities, like ours, the chance to avoid wasting a great deal of personal time spent on commuting is a hard to overestimate win.
At the over end of the opinions spectrum lay several equally meaningful aspects. I will start with ever increasing problem of social contacts shortage between people, compared to the times when they had to participates in collectives’ lifes. Decent percent of married couple had found spouses among colleagues, and that would have not ever happen granted they had had an opportunity to fulfill proffesional duties not meeting in person. Even more disturbing disadvantage is inability of many to distinguish time when working from homes, whereby, either their personal life gets to suffer or the productivity.
Having considered the points above, i have come to a conslusion that the option at focus, definitely may benefit for some of us, can serve poorly for others, though. Hence, the final dicision sould be made taking closers looks into individual’s habbits, the kind of occupation etc. To eliminate minuses providing employees with a flexible, or even combined, schedules is a first choice.
