In the modern era, customers are surrounded by a huge load of advertisements in multiple ways, from digital platforms to newspapers and billboards all across cities. Through adverts, companies try to present themselves and their products in the best way possible. However, the majority of businesses tend to claim that their products are new. What follows takes a look at the possible cause of such claims and what my personal viewpoint is in this regard.
Undoubtedly, advertisements have enabled businesses to make their products known to the public, the more interestingly something is advertised, the higher the chances of people buying it will be. Thus, companies have put utmost effort into making their advertisements as enticing as possible to their target customers.
Innovation is seemingly a captivating feature in a product, which can encourage individuals to buy it. Being aware of this, and in order to enhance their sales, most producers try to present an item in a way that shows it is the result of innovation, and it has something distinctive to offer.
In my personal opinion, the quality of a product takes precedence over its being different or innovative. Once something cannot do what you expect of it, its being new will not make a difference. Although being unique and distinguished could be of great appeal to us, buyers, I strongly assert that a business should make much of improving the quality of its product rather than the newness of it.
To put it in a nutshell, many corporations tend to advertise their products as something innovative and new so as to make them more appealing to customers and to encourage them to buy them; however, the majority of buyers look for a reliable merchandise that is of higher quality. There are few who may care about the newness of their purchase.
