In today’s world, many children spend a lot of time on mobile phones. In my view, this is a negative trend, as it can lead to harmful thoughts, social isolation, and may prevent them from becoming productive members of society.
Firstly, spending too much time on digital devices has been shown to affect mental health. Research suggests that people who spend over ten hours a day on screens are more likely to develop negative thoughts and may even feel anxious or depressed. For example, I know a young boy who became so attached to his smartphone that he began acting unusually. His parents took him to a psychologist because they were worried about his behavior, which was affected by his screen time. Moreover, screens emit UV light, which can strain the eyes and harm brain function, impacting a child’s mental health.
Secondly, children who spend most of their time on mobile phones may prefer to be alone. This is because they become more comfortable in the virtual world than in real life. For instance, many children who use digital devices a lot tend to avoid social events and choose to stay indoors. They may even lose interest in family gatherings, which creates distance from relatives and friends.
In conclusion, I believe that smartphones contribute to isolation and negative thinking. People should use them only when necessary. If they overuse these devices, they could face serious consequences.
