Several actions of human beings have impacted the nature, its ecosystem, and different species in the world. Despite the research and technological developments, the pace in which the ecosystem is being affected is gradually increasing. These are caused by human beings, which can be solved to an extent through effective practices.
To begin with, one of the major contributors to the damage of ecosystem is global warming, which in turn is caused by the emission of harmful gases to the environment. With the increase in population, vehicle usage also has escalated and has become the main source of pollution. In addition, human activities like hunting and deforestation have resulted in the destruction of habitat and extinction of several species. For instance, population growth across the world have forced the humankind to build houses. Several trees are cut down to find the area and even use the wood for the interior works.
However, there are some solutions, which if followed can slower the destruction of ecosystem and habitat. Utilization of renewable sources of energy is one of the methods to combat the problems of global warming. Also, people should be made aware of the consequences of their actions and be encouraged to use eco-friendly products. Wildlife conservation and developing natural parks can help in preserving the wildlife. Moreover, the Government should implement strict policies to tackle these issues and impose sever punishment or penalties to people who refuse to follow the rules. The International Airport in Kochi, Kerala is a global inspiration by becoming the first airport in the world to run on solar power. This was a major decision taken by the then Government to help conserve energy.
In conclusion, it is the responsibility of each and every individual to ensure the maintenance of natural habitat and take part in wildlife preservation.
