It is essential to take an action as a global community to make sure every country decrease their amount of oil and gas usage. Nowadays, fossil fuel is a valuable and must need thing for wide range of areas. In my personal view, we should protect those remaining fossil fuel reserves by reducing the consumption for the future. This essay addresses what are the reasons for saving oil and gases for the future.
Saving fossil fuel is crucial due to several key reasons. We must preserve it for the future generation. Fossil fuel is a non-renewable resource. Therefore, we should reduce the consumption rate of these oils and gases. According to the latest research conducted by the Global Energy Society in 2023, it was predicted that if we use fossil fuel from the current speed, it will vanish in 2060. Moreover, future energy can be secured by saving fuel. It can be used when the renewable energies such as wind, sunlight and water go down. As an example, there is a windy season from March to May in Eastern province in Sri Lanka. So, the wind mills generate
power more efficiently in this period of time, but after that season the wind does not behave heavily. However, that lack of energy can be fulfilled by the fossil fuel. Other factor is the environmental pollution. The Earth is being polluted heavily by burning petrol and diesel these days. According to the research conducted by the Cambridge University in 2022, it was found that the emission of CO2 has rose by 25% between 2010 and 2010.
In conclusion, it is proved that we should try to save fossil fuel for various problems that we could face in the future such as energy security and environmental issues.
