It is argued that learners should get more educated by local history rather than world history .From my perspectives , I disagree with this claim for the reason that local history and world history are equivalent to each other.
On the one hand,there are numerous reasons why it is crucial for pupils to gain knowledge of local history rather than world history.One of the reasons, young generation have to gain ability that can sustain their culture,which is impossible without having knowledge of local history.For instance,the chinese culture have been sustaining for millenniums,since their older generation keep their culture by educating local history to younger generation ,In order to ,that generation keep sustain their tradition.
On the other hand ,I suppose that numerous powerful countries tend to have great politics ,but it demands an enormous knowledge about global history .The knowledge of world history can be gained in school.So world history can pose a vital role for students by creating good fundamentals for future policy. For example,the United States has a powerful policy because in their syllabuses the local and global history combined to the one subject that is called Social Studies.Although,the majority of topics are about the global changes such as afterwards of World War 1 . The purpose of that subject is to build a solid foundation for the younger generation .This shows a significant value of world history for school pupils.
To conclude , it is obvious that local and global have equivalent value for school learners .
