In all ages and whole the world, lying has been an unforgivable and unpleasant guilt. Some people claim that a little lie in special situations can be essential. On the contrary, in my opinion, lies are always lies, and there is no difference between all ways of not being honest. The following essay takes a look at both big and white lies.
A number of individuals argue that sometimes saying something false deliberately is vital for relationships or saving the persons from fear, sadness, and so on. oppositely, I strongly believe if we say the first lie, then we have to make many new lies to cover our previous false words. Additionally, in most situations, the truth will be revealed one day, and consequently, it destroys our reliability and reputation.
Furthermore, I must note an old bitter experience from my childhood when my dear grandfather got Alzheimer’s. He could not remember a vast number of events, as far as he asked about his mother who had died before. We told him good news about his parents to make the grandfather calm and relaxed. Although, at first glance, it was the best solution, we were under pressure.
Now, I know we should seek help from a doctor and find a practical way. So, this example makes it clear to me that no white lie exists that is more useful than the others. The big liars have started with one simple lie.
In short, I agree from the deepest of my heart with Tolstoy: anything is better than lies and deceit. As a result, whether big lies or white lies, all of them are completely wrong.
