Today, children have a sedentary and inactive lifestyle, it is believed that the main responsibility comes from schools and parents. I strongly agree with this and assume that some measures need to be taken to deal with this issue.
Admittedly, it is true that an unhealthy lifestyle is now a problem for teenagers. One of the primary causes is that children are given many video games at home. Due to parents’ limited time spent with their children, especially during their younger years, kids have early access to digital devices and become addicted to them. Another contributing factor is the stress that is packed from school assignments. Specifically, the amount of schoolwork at this age is increasing, leaving students with little time for relaxation. This led to their overloaded schedule and less time for entertainment.
In order to address this issue, both schools and parents should take action. At home, parents can arrange time to play with their kids through activities that strengthen their bond, such as playing board games or going shopping together. As a result, this could significantly reduce the time children spend playing video games. Moreover, teachers can consider converting traditional homework into a practical one. For instance, such include recycling projects, making presentations, and performing various child-friendly chemical reactions to enhance students’ engagement with the tasks.
In all, parents’ unawareness about kids’ early access to digital devices and huge homework makes several children have a harmful lifestyle. This matter can be dealt with through more interaction in the family and engaging assignments.
