Nowadays, education plays a crucial role in society, deciding people’s knowledge and the future of the world. However, there are various cases that kids do not focus on studying at school. This essay will give a variety of reasons that lead to their distraction and suggest numerous pathways to solve this issue.
Children can easily be distracted by various factors around them. First and foremost, they will get distracted due to their friends, especially their deskmates. Deskmate plays a vital role in their studying as if they sit with a hard-working deskmate, they will study very hard, but if their deskmate is talkative and apathetic, they cannot concentrate on their studying. Furthermore, on the grounds that they are wholly young, they do not realise the importance of studying. Therefore, their main purpose when they go to school is just to meet their friends. As a result, teachers should have multiple solutions to keep track of their students studying performance. For instance, they should have a seating chart to manage their pupils easily and arrange their seat so that they can sit with a suitable deskmate. Moreover, teachers can also give rewards and points which will add to their tests’ score to force their motivation and enthusiasm while they are studying.
Secondly, kids’ studying positions also rely on teachers. Students get bored in their lessons on account of their boring teaching styles. Numerous teachers only teach based on the textbooks while children are not keen on reading books, especially textbooks these days. Instead of using textbooks for their whole lesson, they should use technology to add games, videos to make students pay more attention in their lesson. Hence, schools should have various measures to change teachers’ teaching styles. First of all, the principal should organise classroom observations. Thus, teachers can give advice to each other and learn new creative ways of teaching from other teachers to teach their pupils. Besides that, they should participate in workshops at prestigious universities. Therefore, they will know more about their students mentality to finds superb teaching methods that are suitable for their pupils so their students can have deep impressions about their subjects and remember the lesson for a long period.
