Recent studies indicate that a significant proportion of criminals tend to commit crimes again after being released from prison. This issue raises concerns about the effectiveness of the current criminal justice system. This essay will explore the reasons behind this trend and suggest possible solutions.

To begin with, one of the reason of such problem is lack of rehabilitation in prison. Many prisons focus only on punishment, without teaching skills or changing behavior. For example, nowadays, there are many children who grown up in families without parental guidance and attendion. Such circumstances can lead to mental problems such as resentment towards the world or a desire to attract attention through extreme misbehavior, and even crimes. After that, these people who ended up there because of their childhood, instead of training and therapy with psycologist, get punishment and lose freedom. The second reason is social stigma and limited opportunities. Ex-prisoners quite frequently get condenation from the residents, or bulling. These situation can activate the passion to the crime, and person will come back to the robbery.

There are several solutions of this issue. Firstly, improve rehabilitation programs in prison. Government can help minor thiefs change their lifestyle and notions through special facilities. Introducing education and psychological counseling can significantly help some prisons change behavior. For instance, instead of various panishments, ministers can add 30 minutes everyday with specialist, to help shift the mindset. Secondly, provide job opportunities and social support for ex-prisoners. These aspect will illustrate that even after prison, person can start live the new life.

To sum up, although many people still commit crimes after being released from prison, the government can introduce measures to address this problem. Programs such as education and therapy can considerably help prisoners transform their lives and prevent them from reoffending.
