Whether restaurants are supposed to reveal the ingredient of their menus or not is a matter of debate among many people. Personally, I believe that it would be better if restaurants let individuals to know what they are eating.
On the one hand, there are some reasons behind why restaurants do not disclose the nutritional information of their dishes. Firstly, if restaurants do not uncover the components of their dishes, their competitors may copy them and sell them in a more lucrative way, emerging as the prevailing restaurant. This in turn leads to decrease in the number of their customers. Besides that many restaurants do not want reveal their customers the combination of chemicals in some dishes, given that it may discourage people from eating them.
On the other hand, it is beneficial for both restaurants and customers if restaurants show their food components. First of all, it plays a crucial role in capturing the attraction of customers. Because if people are aware of what they are eating, they are likely to find it more reliable as opposed to other food, encouraging them to come to this restaurant frequently. Moreover, disclosing the ingredients of food can exert influence on the further condition of restaurants. For instance, with the help of revealing the ingredient of dishes, restaurants can enable people to cook them at home. As a result, their food may be reliable and common among individuals.
To sum up, even though restaurants might lose their uniqueness through revealing nutritional information of their dishes, advantages of it outweigh the disadvantages.
