Many people believe that governments should prioritize funding for space exploration, while others argue that limited resources should instead be used to solve pressing problems on Earth. As a result, this issue has become a topic of debate. This essay will discuss both views and present my own opinion.
Initiating with the points supporting prioritize funding for space exploration, firstly, advancement in space resarch sector benefits us in long term. The people who support this say that, GPS, satellite communication, weather forecasting, medical imaging all cames from space research.Without space resarch all this technological advancement never appear. Secondly, space exploration have a major role in economic growth. In this sector needs high-skills workers and innovation and by creates high-skill jobs, innovation, and private-sector development this sector has a significant contribution in economics.
On the other hand, critics contend that governments should focus on addressing pressing issues on Earth that affect people’s daily lives. Millions of individuals around the world continue to suffer from poverty, inadequate healthcare, and a lack of access to basic education. In addition, climate change poses an immediate threat to the environment, requiring urgent investment to reduce pollution and protect natural resources. From this perspective, spending vast sums of money on space projects seems irresponsible when these funds could be used to directly improve living conditions and save lives.
In my opinion, while space exploration offers valuable long-term benefits, governments should give greater priority to solving urgent problems on Earth. However, this does not mean that space research should be abandoned entirely. A balanced approach, in which essential social and environmental issues are addressed while maintaining reasonable investment in space technology, would be the most effective way forward.
