In recent years, many people argue that they feel scared either when they are at their residence or even when they are outside their home. This type of situation could have happened towards many people because in the modern era criminal rates are getting more common. Some believe that there is a surge in illicit activities because of the lack of surveillance. To overcome this problem, the police need to increase their supervision especially in vulnerable areas and they should put more cameras for more guidance for better prevention.
First, many of the residents feel intimidated when they are outside or inside their house because of the escalating crime levels. This phenomenon could happen because the level of employment keeps decreasing over time and it could lead towards poverty. For instance, if someone had a stable job and could fulfil their needs, but when he suddenly gets laid off, he would not have an income and would be desperate to get money and proceed to do criminal activities such as robbing and burglaries. Consequently, citizens could lose peace of mind both around the streets and at their home.
To solve the problems, the law enforcement bodies could put more surveillance cameras around a high-risk area. By increasing the number of cameras at vulnerable areas, the police could monitor the area more and keep the residential area safer. For example, putting the camera in a place where crime rates are high could pose a huge obstacle for criminals because it would be harder for them to do crime in that area. Thus, keeping the household area safe needs the cooperation from the government by putting cameras in residential areas.
In conclusion, people usually become scared either when they are outside or even inside the house, this could happen because of the crime rates in the modern era that kept increasing due to unemployment and lack of surveillance from the police around those areas.
