In recent years, young people have been interested in international pop singers and famous people but have limited knowledge of the historical figures in their country. In this essay, I will try to give possible reasons and recommend some methods to help young people learn more about famous people in their history.
Primarily, the information about history does not have any spotlight on TV programs or social, young people just want to watch cartoon movies or comedies and do not want to watch about the history of their country because it is very boring and difficult to remember. Instead, they have no interest in the value of tradition. Mass media has many very beautiful stars so the current generation is usually attracted by them.
To change this situation we need to propose suitable solutions that can take the attention of the youth to history subject. Visual effects can be incorporated into history lessons to help students remember the knowledge better. Furthermore, educators should design free tours and outdoor activities that encourage students to explore their country’s history along with its people. In addition, the film industry should move towards historical events to make youngsters understand the value of their history better.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why the young generation are more interested in stars than famous people of history. Nonetheless, various methods can be used to change this situation for the better.
