It is true that the government is keen towards building new facilities for the public. Though refurbishing current establishments is needed, yet investing in modern complexes offers a lot more benefits.
To begin with, upgrading present structures costs less when compared to raising a new one making it a more budget friendly option. This also helps in preserving their unique architectural features and historic value which helps in maintaining cultural heritage of the community.
However, I believe that freshly erected complexes have a greater impact not only on the community but also on the government. Latest constructions can easily incorporate infrastructure embedded with latest technological facilities – such as including AI-driven sensors and advanced smoke detection systems- which will enhance safety of people. In contrast, older buildings often do not support these innovations primarily due to physical limitations. On the other hand, expanding cultural institutions like museums will serve as a platform for promoting tourism. Modern museums with interactive technology will attract tourists and promotes economic growth as well as enhances the country’s reputation, making it a recognized destination in the tourism industry. Thirdly, in highly populated areas, there is huge demand for essential public infrastructure like schools and hospitals. Renovating existing facilities may improve conditions, but it doesn’t expand capacity to serve the growing population.
In conclusion, although renovating existing buildings is important, I believe that investing in new constructions will better serve the society by improving safety and accessibility, while simultaneously fostering economic growth for the nation.
