Online jobs and meetings are a trend nowadays and the number is increasing.
In my opinion, since the pandemic most companies switched the work to be from home and since then it has been a trend some companies ended that and asked their employees to come again to the office to continue working from it and others found that was good for their business and employee productivity and continue working from home, also some new startups started their companies with the remote work culture. There are advantages and disadvantages to having a business completely running online or just having meetings online.
Firstly, online meetings advantages are the business can spread widely fast for example can have multiple clients globally or even run branches online with just a meeting with the team avoiding the transfer cost or even the cost of having a physical office, also the ability to hire global talents is much easier online and keep the work running online which provided more job opportunities to people from all over the word.
However, online meetings have disadvantages such as can’t compared with in-person meetings in a physical place and a face-to-face conversation is always better than having a real conversation with people and brainstorming together this might be also the reason that many companies prefer that their employees come back to the office because they noticed the productivity is not the same as they used to have when they were working from the office.
To sum up, online meetings and working online are good but we can moderate that by having in-person meetings from time to time.
