A growing number of wild specious are becoming to extinct and a list is filled in endangering animals. The main reasons of this are illegal human exploitation as well as poaching or the wildlife trade. One of the ways to tackle this problem is to create more game reserves.
Illegal human activities are one of the pivotal reasons of extinction. If in the past ancestors had to kill animals to survive, nowadays hunting is not a necessary part of everyday lives. More poachers believe, that they are unique by owning antique animals’ fur, leather or feather; however, some of them hunt to a precise animal in order to sell in the dark web. As for the wildlife trade, such as ivory trade, a number of people are put in danger the elephants, using theirs tusks for from jewelry to piano keys. Some methods are brutal and this increase rapidly. In African counties poachers cut elephants’ tusk while they are still alive, hence animals left to die an excruciating death.
Possible solution to these problems would be to increase the number of game reserves. the government coupled with educational institutions could tackle these problems. If the former develops new protected areas, while the latter start to tell younger generation the consequences and the worsening environmental situation, the amount of poaching will decrease, which will mean that extinct animals will not be in danger. For example, in Chana the China Wildlife Conservation Association’s (CWCA) program, which aims to awareness, teach students to protect endangered species.
To conclude, a number of extinct animals caused by increasing illegal human activities is one of the foremost challenges we face, but possible solution could be to develop new constructions in natural habitat and teach students to care about endangered animals, which is already used by countries like China.
