There has been an increasing number of animals becoming extinct as well as animals that are on endangered list. One main reason for this cause is due to human activities and such problem can be solved by the support of the government and general public.
On the one hand, human activities such as habitat destruction and hunting had negative impact on animals’ lives. First and foremost, deforestation is when people, particularly farmers and agriculture workers, clear forests to grow crops or to make space for construction. These results in animals losing their natural habitats. In other words, habitats of some animals that has been destroyed by parents could lead to overpopulation in other places. Secondly, illegal hunting happened in numerous forests around the world. The hunters or law-breakers hunt animals for their precious body parts, thus leading to a decline in specific animals including elephants, tigers and lions.
Nonetheless, the aforementioned issues can be solved by taking viable measures such as rising public awareness and governments imposing strict regulating rules. A number of nations around the world tend to lack knowledge regarding the benefits that animals provide to the environment. For this reason, making people become aware of the animals and its habitat can lead to the public become more careful with the environment and also helping in conservation projects. In addition to this, government can play an important role of protecting endangered species by prohibiting animals hunting.
In conclusion, the rate of which animals become extinct and on the verge of extinction are due to human practices and this problem can be tackle by government’s laws as well as support from the public.
