It is true that many people in many countries live alone instead of with family or partners, and this is increasing. While this trend has some negative effects. I believe that the benefits for individuals and society are greater.
There are several reasons why people prefer to live alone. One possible reason is that people become independent and free. For example, when people live alone, they freely make their own decisions and choices for a better lifestyle for their own self-experience. Another reason is that living alone encourages individuals to develop personal growth and strengthens their self- reliance. For instance, when people live alone, they have to handle responsibilities paying bills, cooking, and making decisions by themselves. Therefore, this improves their confidence and self-reliance.
Despite the above advantages, it also has some drawbacks. Firstly, people who live alone may feel lonely and suffer from mental health problems. For example, a person who lives alone may have no one to talk to after work, which can make them feel isolated and stressed. As a result, people feel stress and anxiety, and it helps to grow health problems. Finally, living alone can result in higher costs, as individuals must cover all expenses by themselves. By living alone, people have to pay rent, bills, and other necessities; they do not share with anyone. Consequently, people face challenging issues that affect their financial resources.
To sum up, although living alone can lead to loneliness and higher expenses, it provides greater independence and contributes to economic activity. Therefore, I believe that the advantages of this trend outweigh its disadvantages.
