Most people prefer to take online classes rather than physically attending classes at the university. There are several positive and negative effects. This essay will examine all aspects of students’ preferences on their education. In my opinion, the negative effects of studying online outweigh the beneficial effects.
A positive aspect of online class is their flexibility. Recent technological developments have made things easier than eveR before. Online education provides more leisure time to improve oneself and become more qualified in one’s primary field or any other field one wishes to try. One only needs a computer and internet connection to attend all classes. There are no time or place restrictions on taking classes. Additionally, online education also provides an opportunity to choose two or more different fields of study at the same time. For instance, surveys show an increase in the percentage of people going to university after online programmes have prevailed in the most universities.
A negative aspect of studying online at the university is that some fields still require to be physical attendance such as medicine and nursing; these fields are based on practising on patients. Furthermore, some students want to experience campus life. Leaving home to continue their education is a way to explore their personality and is beneficial for independence.
In conclusion, online studying allows one to spend more time on whatever one wants. Traditional education is obligatory in various fields. It is also important to explore one’s character and personal growth.
