Many argue that alternative medicines and treatments are more effective than traditional doctor visits; however, others disagree. This essay disagrees with the positive development as staying away from proper medicine can lead to spread of diseases.
Firstly, doctors prove themselves worthy of their diploma and right to medicate through comprehensive preparation for the rapid and difficult work environment that awaits them. Medical students give numerous assessment examinations to show their aptitude for working with injured patients. Finally, after multitude of obstacles in terms of academics and apprenticeship, they step into the work field. Additionally, the procedures and remedies they have developed over years are backed up by science and evidence. Experimentalist individuals went out of their way to further advance recovery methodologies by breaking the law. This is further proved by the increase in global population.
Nevertheless, some are skeptical despite their proven right to heal, hence they resort to alternative medications such as acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, aromatherapy. They debate that the doctoral techniques are toxic and harmful for the human body. Moreover, that activates the placebo effect, leading to more effective results on the person. It was backed up by survivors of deadly diseases such as cancer.
In conclusion, I side with the usual visits to the doctor since they have solid proof of their skills, hence this is a negative development. Furthermore, their practices are supported by scientific researches; on the contrary, people’s mistrust is rooted in the legitimacy of medications. Although alternative medicine offers peace of mind for the patients.
