First of all, I will argue with the premise that these days more and more people are choosing folk medicines instead of visiting professionals. On the contrary, I assume that a number of those who are visiting usual doctors is growing and this movement has positive influence on contemporary society.
To begin with, one has to emphasize the fact that medicine is one of the most difficult and competitive working fields and it is obvious that the selection criterion are very strict. Doctors are professionals that had 4 years of complex theory and 2 years of practice, therefore, they knew much more about health than any other people. Also every doctor in hospital has modern technologies To illustrate, the most popular diseases in 21 century are related to heard problems. Cardiovascular infection kills almost a half of people that have some health problems and to find source one needs special tools and apparatus.
Nevertheless, alternative medicine theoretically can help the individual with some simple diseases such as little cough, runny nose, or headache, since it focuses on natural substances that in some case could be better for human organism then manufactured tablets. For example, green tea; it is known fact that a compound of this drink positively affects ones nervous system due to many treatment herbs. Additionally, complementary medicine encourages feelings of well-being, pleasure, positivity and inner peace that helps human body to fight with illness.
Be as it may, the absence of scientific researches and professionals do not give alternative medicine a chance to cure such diseases as cancer, bone breaks, digestion and cardiovascular problems and so on and so forth.
To conclude, from my perspective, a rising of a number of people that are visiting a usual doctor instead of using traditional medicine is a positive development due to all indisputable reasons outlined above.
