In the modern days, celebrities outpace politicians in terms of earnings. I believe that globalization has a major influence due to this kind of issue, and I will explain using examples from famous companies to demonstrate why this is a negative or positive trend.
The major factor behind this situation is the value of potential business from famous movie stars, singers and sport players is huge and such value is reflected is their salary. They will make large amount of money for companies whose products they accepted throughout their fame. For instance, the famous football player named Cristiano Ronaldo which contracted with Nike company to about 1.5 billion dollars to enduring their brand. It was a somewhat unlikely achievement for policymakers who earn only 5000 dollars. Therefore, it is conclusively clear that famous people can earn much money compare to politicians due to their plenty of business.
That being said, this tendency seems to be detrimental to society in the long term since and it leads to changes in young people’s career choices in the future. However, in many schools or universities students already have their future job which they want to be an Instagram model or live streamer because they think this job is well-paid. What is worse, this would cause for brain drain in other fields for professions. In fat that it would not well-paid for a long term because in any time they would end the contract whenever they want.
To conclude, celebrities can earn more money than politicians due to the fact that they can generate huge revenue for companies. However, this trend is detrimental to society as it affects children’s careers and it leads to brain drain in many professional fields.Nowadays celebrities earn more money than politicians.
