In this day and age, many individuals tend to get medical advice from the Internet, rather than going to hospitals to find doctors. In this essay, I will explore some reasons behind this situation before presenting my viewpoint.
One of the primary reasons why people are gradually using internet advice is that the convenience and quickness of the technology. Most patients just tap their medical symptoms on online platforms, immediately, excessive medical advice from multiple sources will present for them. This helps them save time and reduces consultation fees as well as therapeutic expenses from hospitals. However, these recommendations also pose serious loopholes for people’ health. This is because many health-related medical sources on the Internet are not verified, which leads to more people receiving misdiagnoses and inaccurate clinical treatments, thereby affecting negatively to patients’ health.
I firmly believe that therapeutic suggestions from doctors are more reliant, compared to others. The first reason is that most doctors undergo extensive training courses so they have medical expertise, helping to accurately identify patients’ illnesses, symptoms and giving proper interventions for each one. This assists patients in avoiding potential side effects and allergic reactions resulting from inappropriate medications. Moreover, in some cases, immediate diagnosis from physicians helps patients escape from urgent circumstances. For example, a person may experience only a minor headache, but without timely diagnosis and therapies from specialists, they could miss the “golden hours,” as their condition may be far more serious than expected.
In conclusion, the usage of internet guidance is more and more popular since the conveniences as well as cost-effectiveness of them. However, I am convinced physician’s medical advice remain the best solution for patients as they have professional medical competence in diagnosis ,giving proper treatment and timely intervention.
