It is increasingly common for people to buy online items. Although there are several advantages, there are also notable disadvantages. While I agree to some extent. I also believe that online shopping can impact treatment on people who buy online. This essay will explain why I partly agree with this statement.
One of the key advantages of buying online is that people can buy anything more conveniently, meaning that people can shop anytime and anywhere. Therefore, customers can save time and effort. For example, many people are very busy with their work or study and they do not have a lot of time to go to the shopping center, that is why they need to buy online. In addition, one positive aspect of online shopping is that people have a wider choice and lower prices. This allows everyone access to global products and a variety of items from cheap to expensive. As a result, people can easily compare prices and choose the products which are suitable for them. For instance, online shops can have many discounts and promotions encouraging people to buy and choose the products in their shop.
One of the main disadvantages of shopping online is that people can lack physical experience. This is because people can not try or check the quality of the product leading to risk of poor quality and fake products. A clear example of this is that online shoppers can receive products in the wrong size or items which do not match the description shown on the website. As a result, this can lead to disappointment and inconvenience for customers, especially when people return the products. Moreover, one significant drawback of this trend is that online shopping can have a negative impact on local businesses. This can be attributed to the fact that some small shops can lose customers because there are many online shops and they sell the same items. This results in a decline in the revenue of these shops and makes it difficult for them to survive in the market.
In conclusion, although online shopping offers considerable merits such as convenience and a wider range of choices, it also presents several demerits, including the lack of physical experience and negative impact on local business. I partly agree with this view and I consider that it depends on how consumers use online shopping.
