In this day and age, robots have become increasingly capable of handling tasks at home and workplaces. While this trend brings about some reasonable negatives, I am adamantly of the opinion that it is largely a change for the better.
To start, it is essential to acknowledge some aspects of numerous tasks are performing by robots. One major benefit has to do with job displacement, meaning that the advances of technology and the growing use of robots lead to unemployment. As a result, inferior families will suffer who work in manufacturing, agricultural and so on. Another main demerit is that robots can come at a huge cost to industrial companies to work in place of people. Moreover, installing robots require significant investment, so they are unaffordable for small companies and middle-class families.
I, on the other hand, share the view that this is mostly a positive trend because some favorable factors exist. One of them is that productivity and efficiency. To be more specific, they can perform tasks faster and effective than employees and they lead to higher status for the factory. Therefore, a number of industrial factories prefer to hire robots rather than people for their bright future. Although, they are expensive to purchase and maintain, they are better than paying the salaries of thousands of laborers.
In summary, while the negatives of more tasks performing by robots can somewhat be justified, in my opinion that it is mostly a positive development as they can provide the rising of productivity and factories’ status.
