Foreign visitors these days are more interested in museums and historical sites rather than native people. This is because local people are lacking of the information ahout the values of these things, where public awareness can solve this issue in order to attract locals to visit these places more.
Holding the little knowledge about the historical things of own country can lead to ignoring these sites. Local people don’t have the enough information about their own prestigious sites because their parents and teachers don’t explain them about these important things, leading them to ignore these sites ,where foreign people are known about these historical things, so they visit these sites. For example, people in India are unknown about their cultural and historical things, which lead them not to visit the historical places and museums.
Spreading knowledge can help local people to think about their historical treasures. Public awareness is the essential thing to motivate native people to roam around these sites because it will aware, what they are actually ignoring. Moreover, it will provide the sense of proudness which is hold by these museums and historical things. For instance, in Nepal, people were unknown about the historical sites such as Pashupatinath Temple and Kalika Temple; However, with the implementation of public awareness, people tends to know about these places and started to visit and conserve these sites.
In conclusion, tourists are more attracted to the historical sites and museums than local people, while it can be solved by implementing public awareness all over the country which will provide knowledge about these sites.
