Nowadays, design, painting, film and further art fields are mostly influenced by technology. This innovation is depatable, but deeply I feel that it is rather beneficial.
On the one hand, poetically said, technology may take away the human soul in arts. In case of letting automatic tools do most of the steps, there is no job for an actuall creator to do, only to specate and control. For example, if in ancient times creating a sculpture meant putting all your forces in to make a true masterpiece, today you can do it all with the help of AI: only writing the idea, then picking the best option and printng it with modern instruments. Theoretichally, this prosses just steals the human’s job in art, which destroys the whole concept of it.
On the other hand, if people use tools properly this development would only carry positive effects. For instance, 3D-printing can help creating a prototype for future projects, AI can advise to which aspects you should pay attentoin, sharing your ideas on the Internet can result in feedback from real consumers, who surely do know what they would like to see, and so on.
In conclusion, art is an important part of our life and culture, and if people stop putting effort into it, the concept of art will slowly demolish. On the countrary, creators should not limit themsels in using modern technology, because it won’t demostrate the cultural progress. In my opinion, artists may use any tools they want, but only if it is a part of the project and not the whole prosess with no human touch in it.
