It is true that globalization has led to growing similarities between nations in various aspects of life. This trend can largely be attributed to the widespread use of english as a global language and greater cultural exchange across the globe. While this phenomenon can have positive aspects , In my view, this can be detrimental for people as well as society.
There are several factors which can attribute to similarity of countries. Firstly, English is becoming international communication way between different nations. As a result, individuals are coming across similar lifestyle and ideas through english movies, musics and social media. Secondly, the development of internet and social media can make faster the cultural exchange. Fo example, teenagers are trying to imitate their styles, eating habits and lifestyles thanks to Instagram and Tik Tok. Consequently, people’s preferences and consuming habits from different countries do not have any difference.
It is undeniable that this phenomenon have some positive aspects, including the great opportunity for studying abroad and the improvement of cooperation. Pupils can study at a prestigious university which improve academic performance. Furthermore, it make easy to international cooperation between similar countries. It allows to understand and exchange experiences with different culture sectors. Studing Students who know English language at a international universities, taking part in various courses to improve experiences and achievements great results in their career paths can be good example for this.
However, in my opinion, negative sides of this are far more serious. One of the major concern is lossing of cultural diversity, especially teenagers are focusing other countries culture excessively and this lead to decreasing of our cultural identity dignity. For instance, some young people prefer international styles and fast food products rather than traditional clothes and dishes. Over time, such changes may weaken cultural identity.
In conclusion, spreading the use of English language excessively and the advancement of technology can be primary reason for this. Although this can have benefits according to the international cooperation and study opportunities, I consider this situation is serious and detrimental thanks to loss of cultural diversity and traditions
