People argue about professional athletes’ salaries. Some say their wages are way too high and some say they deserve them.
Firstly people say these sportsmen they are being paid way too high than white color jobs. Being in sports does not need qualifications, so most of the educated people who have spent most of the time in universities say its not fair. The salaries being paid in most industries are way low that the salaries of professional athletes. People say these salaries for sportsmen must be regulated like any other jobs for example in the manufacturing industry were the rates are regulated whereby one know if you are an operates there is a minimun wage and the highest wage paged.
On the other hand aome say their salaries are justified because their fan and customer base is bigger than any industry. For example when we see some soccer tournaments like EUFA champions league or soccer world cup, thousand if not millions of people will be travelling and paying for the soccer tickets. These tournaments will have television rights people will be streaming. Some will buy jerseys. So their customer base will be greater and their sales will be too.
So im my opinion i think the salaries for professional athletes are justified because these sporting activities and the tournaments they host generate a lot of income. It . Their salaries tallies with the profits they generate.
