Speaking skill and the ability to present before an audience must be possessed by every person in our society. Sometimes people find it hard to communicate with the public due to many reasons. The quality of public speaking is very important and my insights about this are described in the following paragraphs.
To commence with, the ability to speak to public and to deliver a presentation is very crucial but sometimes due to fear or lack of confidence people find it difficult. Only if we communicate properly, the audience would be able to grasp and obtain the idea which we want them to understand. To cite an example, I recently I went to my brother’s school and witnessed the presentation of nominees for the student council. One of the candidate wasn’t elected because he couldn’t communicate properly, his speech was unclear to the audience. I felt bad for him but from this everybody understood how relevant speaking skill is. The ability to speak and present in front of an audience is very important that, otherwise people will lose confidence in the speaker. The crowd will think that without being able to communicate properly how will he or she lead them.
Furthermore, public speaking must be taught to children from their school itself so that it will benefit them in their future. Children will become trained enough to excellently speak before public and they will not be shy. For instance, one of my my cousins is studying in second grade and last day he told me about his upcoming speech at school. He said that they had been given training for the past one month and that he is confident to speak now. He learned a lot of things about public speaking. One another reason why this skill must be taught from school is that whatever we learn from our childhood will remain forever in our mind. Nowadays there are a lot of opportunities for students and instilling such qualities from school will benefit them.
To recapitulate, sometimes people find it difficult to deliver a speech or to give a presentation in public. But it is very important to develop this skill. In my opinion, students must be taught public speaking at their school, which will help them in future.
