Hobbies and interests change over time and some people believe this happens because of trends and fashion not because people really enjoy these those activities. I agree with this idea to some extent.
On one side, trends and fashion can influence hobbies. For example, social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram make activities such as making short videos and doing fitness challenges very popular. Many people follow these trends because they want to look cool. However, these hobbies often do not last long. When a new trend appears, people move on quickly. This shows that some hobbies are chosen because of trends not because people have interest or love them.
On the other side, many people still choose hobbies that match their real interests. For example, a person who loves nature might enjoy travelling to mountains, gardening or hiking. These hobbies stay the same over time because they bring peace and happiness to the individual. Similarly people who like being creative might like activities such as painting or writing. These hobbies reflect their personality and do not depend on what is currently fashionable.
In conclusion, hobbies are driven by both trends and personal interests. While some people follow new fashions and many stick to activities which they truly enjoy. Personal interests continue for more time than temporary trends.
