Band 6+: Physical appearance may play an important role in many spheres of life: in the person’s success in school, in relationships with people, in the choice of a career path. Say whether you agree or disagree with it, and if you see it as a positive or negative factor.

It is considered that outward appearance has become a significant impact on all aspects of human lives in terms of their personal, professional and academic life. This essay totally disagrees with that notion as most people achieve their success through hard work and talent. I think it has a negative effect on people’s lives and on society. I will discuss the reasons behind this in the upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the view of disagreement that physical appearance is not the predominant role of individual’s life. First and foremost, reason is that, nowadays most of the people are well known by doing their hardworking in their career rather than physical appearance. So, outward appearance does not matter in life because if people do not have any kind of talent and creative thinking then they cannot become a successful person just because of their physical appearance. For instance, in Punjabi industry, there are many actors who are not attractive by looking but their performance in front of camera is mind blowing that is why audience like them. So, they are successful by their hard work. As a result, how people look should not matter because some people are internally very talented or creative.

Furthermore, there are some negative points to this statement. Primarily, if people know that because of their beauty they can select for job or acting then they will not do handwork. Thus, they care more about their looks rather than improving their skills. For example, in Finland, there most of the companies want those employees who have good qualification and creative skills rather than physical appearance. So, it has a negative impact on people’s career if they will improve only outwards appearance. Moreover, it also causes discrimination. To elaborate it, in society there are many people who have not good physical composition, such as some people are fatty in the community due to, they feel shy, and they do not talk with other people who have good outwards appearance. Therefore, it has a huge negative impact on people’s career, thinking and on society because everyone does not have a good physical appearance.

To conclude, although outward appearance has become a vital role in people’s life but people should not be ignored those person who do not have good appearance because it can be a negative impact on people’s life.
